Globally, we will approach nearly 2MM new cases.

Although the majority of CRCs are in adults ages 50 and up, 17,930 (12%) will be diagnosed in individuals younger than 50.

#colorectalcancer  is third most commonly diagnosed cancer in men and women. It is the third leading cause of cancer death in both men and women, and the second overall behind lung cancer when men and women are combined. 

You have a 5% chance of being diagnosed with the disease, and this number increases to 10% to 15% if your family has a history of having it.

Today is #𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐃𝐚𝐲, set aside to raise awareness about this cancer and to honor those who have had it as well as those whose lives have been impacted by knowing someone with this cancer. 

The day also serves as a reminder to get screened for this cancer. It takes place during #colorectalcancerawarenessmonth
