The Leadership Needed on Your Commercial Team Post COVID-19

Episode ONE | The Leadership Needed on Your Team Post COVID—19

My first job out of college was working as a sales representative in the laboratory industry. Since that time, I have never left. The teams I lead and consult with today focus on Life Sciences, Diagnostics, Oncology and Genetics because it’s what drives us and the healthcare industry. To amplify the work we do as proponents of today’s laboratory and the personnel that run it, we will interview some of the most interesting forward thinkers and performance coaches to help you thrive, even in challenging times.

Because of the changes brought by COVID-19, many of our clients find they are not able to do their jobs and deliver new and innovative instruments and testing solutions to the hospitals, reference and research laboratories, and clinician offices they serve. This is where we are jumping in…. By providing tangible ideas on how to market and sell during these times, we will introduce new resources to you, our clients, and deliver novel ideas around operating and selling in these shifting paradigms.

The podcasts will answer these questions:

  • What is really different today about the selling than in years past?
  • How can some of our old ways of working be effectively modified for greatest impact?
  • What new technologies and ideas are available that allow sales, marketing and operations teams to be most effective?
  • What companies and agencies can act as meaningful, supportive resources to our clients during this time?
  • What actionable steps can our listeners and clients implement today to be more successful in their sales, marketing and operations, both now and in the future?

We will work to help you stay motivated, sharp, focused and alert to opportunity. We will discuss what you should be doing to thrive and who you should be networking with, and how, to be more impactful than ever before.

With limited ability to go face to face, we will provide advice on how to effectively interact with clients and still tell a compelling story. As direct marketing and sales methods will change rapidly, we will cover other new ways medical companies can continue to gain attention during this time. For example, we will spend time expanding on ideas around working in social platforms and the myriad of ways Professionals within the areas of Life Sciences, Genetics and Biotechnology can use them better to increase their “at bats”.

For leaders, we will discuss the best ways to help teams engaged and Explore all we must be doing in order to prepare their teams for what’s ahead. And since we are all about Talent, we will cover what skill sets innovative leaders look for and how they hire elite, A+ players.

The overarching goals of our podcast will be to:

Inform – We are each building something great, and that means every day requires we return real value to our market and our clients. Here is one clear way we can do that.

Learn – Building a great future requires free flowing ideas and a willingness to always challenge ourselves and each other to expand our thinking and growth mindset.

Explore – We want to examine what’s possible in the laboratory of tomorrow. What is exciting on the horizon and what is your company doing to champion the important advances in medicine?

Educate – We will always achieve far more learning together. When we facilitate an environment of mutual teaching and learn from opposing ideas, we will grow.

We are incredibly excited to share with you deep and meaningful dialogues that we are confident will make a daily positive impact on your work and in your teams. We hope you will tune in and discover how Top Talent delivers Peak Performance and share your own ideas.
